Oracle Flashback Table and Recycle Bin demos

So in conversation the other day, it became clear that there’s a few things that can be best clarified with a demonstration and to that end, I decided to put a couple together.  The subjects I’ll tackle in this first phase – flashback table and the recycle bin.

But first, a joke.

Question: How many Oracle DBAs does it take to change a lightbulb?
Answer: We don’t change lightbulbs; we get our light from the remaining high availability clustered lightbulbs in the primary fixture and if they fails, we get our light from the standby light fixture at the other end of the building.

So on to the video.  This one is a flashback table demonstration.

And this one is a recycle bin demonstration.

As always, let me know if you have any questions.  The next two videos will show DataGuard Switchover and Failover using DataGuard Broker (I used to call it DataGuard Borker because it borked all my settings).
